Once upon a time, there was an audiologist with a big dream. She travelled to the other side of the world looking for the chance to make a difference in hearing health. She worked tirelessly around Australia, training audiologists and presenting seminars for several years, but she longed for something more. Finally, she decided to settle in Brisbane and follow that dream of helping people with her own clinic. And thus, Falls of Sound was born!
Today is special.
Today marks 18 years since the day Katia opened up the Indooroopilly clinic of Falls of Sound. Many of our patients still remember those early days and continue to trust Katia’s expertise today. Many others, in turn, have come over through the years and joined the family along the way. Then, seven years later to the day, Katia decided to continue her dream and moved her family up to Maroochydore. There, she created a second clinic and further cemented the Falls of Sound name on the Sunshine Coast.

Our patients’ trust in Katia and her team has allowed the clinics to grow. Falls of Sound now stands as a solid name for the hearing health industry of Southeast Queensland. And what a year we’ve had! We’ve adjusted to contactless hearing health care, and we’ve navigated closing the Indooroopilly clinic for illness and floods. Our team has certainly had to be creative and resilient to navigate the changes and has come out stronger.
But it hasn’t all been hardship! We’ve also welcomed a new team member and have been nominated and received several service excellence awards. We’ve added more consultation options for Indooroopilly and an extra wax removal office for Maroochydore. And there’s more excitement to come in the year ahead! New faces to join, more consultation hours, and new technology to keep helping our patients.
