I feel in my conscience a need to write this, despite the 5 star reviews.This is a warning to those making enquiries with FOS about aids or even aid repairs. This goes out especially to pensioners or people who are vulnerable to pressure.I can't remember if it was late 2022 or late 2023, but I called FOS about how much it would cost to repair an aid that I got there via Hearing Savers. It was out of warranty.  I could already hear the lady on the phone was pushing me to come in for a hearing test.  I wasn't sure and needed to decide. However, for the next couple of weeks (and maybe even months), I had voice mail messages from FOS following me up.In July 2024, I made another enquiry via email about the consultation fees, etc for getting a hearing aid because I was thinking of using Hearing Savers again. I got a reply but it didn't make me feel comfortable so I was "sitting" on my decision.A couple days later, on a Saturday morning, I got a missed call / voice mail from FOS following me up.I've described two examples.I don't like the pushiness of staff in "following up" after I've made queries of some sort.I feel like if I don't make a complaint, I'm going to keep getting these sales type calls - you know like spam callers who annoy you once they have your number.None of the other clinics I've been contacting have been chasing me up after I've made enquiries.I don't know anyone who likes spam callers.I don't think a company should be pressuring anyone, especially vulnerable people who actually need help with an essential service.Thank you for reading. I am extremely happy with my new Genesis A1 Starkey hearing aids. I have been hearing impaired from a young age and have had many Audiologists in my time however, Elodie Compos has been the most efficient, professional, friendly, and accommodating Audiologist that I have met. There's a lot to be said for supporting smaller businesses. I had the pleasure of having a hearing test at the Indooroopilly location. Ann on reception was great and looked after me very well. Treston was caring and thorough in his examination. He explained the results in understandable terms. I appreciated that Treston said I was not ready for hearing aids yet, but gave me some options.
