Signia AX

Signia AX is an amazing new platform.

The Signia product development department this year keeps surprising everyone, with a new technology platform launched. The Augmented Xperience (AX) platform is the brand new approach to Signia hearing, building on their existing Xperience platform. It is currently available for the Pure Charge N Go models and is expected to roll out further soon. So what makes these new devices oh so special?

Sound clarity and enhancement is the top priority for this new technology. Signia have included 2 processors in these new devices to provide different sound streaming. One processes sound from speech, focusing on enhancing volume and clarity. The other handles the background noises, reducing the output so you are aware of songs but not overpowered. Signia use the analogy of when you watch a movie where characters are talking in a noisy environment. The background noise is clearly identifiable however conversations are brought centrefold to be understood perfectly. Same idea with the dual processor of the Signia AX models.

This model is also once again compatible with CROS devices. If you have an unaidable hearing loss in one ear, sound from that side is transferred to your good ear. Of course, all the other features, including Own Voice Processing and noise cancellation are also still present. Most importantly, the new models are compatible with Android phones as well as iPhones. You can now stream directly from your phone to your hearing aids, or through any Streamline accessory, you may have. The Pure AX devices are also slimmer at the top to allow for better comfort with glasses (and masks).

The AX platform however will not offer any battery-operated options, opting instead for fully rechargeable. The regular models will give up to 24 hours of charge, while the Telecoil models go up to 36 hours. This includes 5 hours of streaming time through your phone as well, so a lot of autonomy here! Furthermore, you have the option of getting a portable charger, which can hold up to 3 days worth of charge. So even if you find yourself out and about for a few days, you are still covered.

So if you’ve been thinking about getting new (or first!) hearing aids, now is the time! Freshly arrived on the shelves, this latest technology is your ticket to better hearing experiences. Contact your Falls of Sound clinic for more information and to arrange a trial.
