From Ear to Brain: The Science of Hearing Health

Presented by Falls of Sound

About the Seminar

Antony Chioteau

Join us for an informative and engaging seminar with Antony Chicoteau, Audiologist (MAud, BSc Hons), as he explores the vital connection between hearing and brain function.

In this evidence-based session, you’ll learn how even mild hearing loss can increase cognitive load, reduce social engagement, and accelerate mental fatigue. Antony will explain why early detection and intervention are essential, not just for hearing, but for maintaining memory, focus, and overall brain health.

You’ll also discover how modern hearing technology can ease the burden on your brain by delivering clearer, more natural sound, helping you stay connected, confident, and mentally sharp.

After the seminar, stay and enjoy afternoon tea, where you’ll have the opportunity to chat with Antony, ask questions, and connect with others in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Discover how hearing loss affects cognitive health, why early intervention matters, and how today’s hearing technology can support both your ears and your mind.

Why Attend?

🧠 Learn how hearing impacts brain health:

Research shows that untreated hearing loss can lead to increased cognitive load, social withdrawal, and even a higher risk of dementia. This seminar will explain how hearing supports memory, focus, and mental clarity and what you can do to protect both your hearing and your brain as you age.

👂 Understand early signs of hearing loss:

You may find yourself asking people to repeat themselves, turning up the TV, or struggling to follow conversations in noisy settings. Recognising these early signs is key to preventing further decline and supporting long-term brain health. This seminar will help you identify the warning signs and know when to seek help.

🔊 Explore modern hearing solutions:

Improved hearing reduces mental strain, enhances social connection, and helps preserve memory and cognitive function. This seminar will explore how today’s advanced hearing technology can play a key role in healthy aging and long-term brain wellness.

This seminar is ideal for adults experiencing hearing changes, carers, and families focused on wellbeing.
